"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.

Your welcome. The shot really grabbed me the instant I saw it. I met an artist from Viet Nam who made the most breathtaking baseball sculptures I have ever seen. He pointed out that the best baseball imagery is captured by looking away from the ball when everyone else is looking at it.
